Trust the doctor. Leave it to the board of medical examiners to do their job. WHY oh WHY do we have to insult professionals with YEARS of education?
ReplyDeleteExactly! Law enforcement and law makers should stay out of it, just enforce what has been established, exactly why we need less grey area. Leave it to the Dr. to determine what is qualifying condition...debilitating does not necessarily mean on the brink of death!!! Not 2 Dr.s!! Nothing else takes 2 Dr.'s!! Why should cannabis??
ReplyDeleteMy recommendation is signed by my long time primary care physician. He knows what my conditions are and he knows I cannot work and take opiate-based prescription drugs for my chronic pain. I also have a stomach condition that precludes many pain and anti-inflammatory meds. He is a rather conservative Dr but he still supports cannabis use for mature adults who have little other choice. Why is "chronic" pain one of the conditions to be removed from the list? I have years and years of medical history for chronic pain and at 60 I may be told "tough luck, take additive drugs and become disabled and unable to work" rather than vap come cannabis? What is wrong with this picture?
ReplyDeleteI think until our Main stream Medical Dr.'s are more willing to prescribe Med M as an alternative there will always be a question of whether or not a person has a valid condition. I know of a couple of people who have their Med M cards that had no medical records and lied to the Dr. that they saw. They just wanted legal weed and dont hide the fact that they have their card and are selling on the side. This is a problem for the rest of the people who really do need it. and only use the product them selves. So maybe there are a number of Dr.s who shouldn't be giving out Medical Marijuana recommendations. I think the problem starts with them. Maybe they need to be held accountable.
